For more than 73 years, Sydney Dogs & Cats Home has been the safe haven for Sydney’s lost, neglected and abandoned pets.
As Sydney’s only charity impound facility, our small team of staff and volunteers works tirelessly to re-unite lost pets with their owners, and to re-habilitate and re-home abandoned and neglected pets.
Sydney Dogs & Cats Home does not receive any government funding for its work with discarded pets. Instead, we rely on the support of the community to fund the life-saving transformations that occur in our shelter on a daily basis.
We welcome nearly 3,000 pets through our doors each year. On average we re-unite two lost pets with their human companions each day, and we find new loving homes for approximately five pets each day.
